Grilling in the summer is one of those must haves for our family. There’s just something about cooking and eating outdoors that brings our family together, and because of that we tend to use our grill like crazy over the summer! If it can be grilled, it will be grilled, because everything just tastes better from a grill. This fish is delish. Tilapia is the kind of fish that you can easily kick up a notch. It’s pretty plain, so a little spiciness sounds just about right. Cooking Tip: When I grill fish, I always lay it out on a piece of foil. That way I don’t have to worry about it flaking apart and being eaten up by flames.

Spice Level: This recipe calls for 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, which might be too much for anyone sensitive to spice. Feel free to adjust the cayenne pepper as needed. If you know you are more sensitive to spicy foods, perhaps start with 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne. What should I serve with spicy marinated grilled tilapia? We like to keep it simple and stick to one cooking method per meal. There’s nothing more stressful than running back and forth between the grill and whatever is cooking in the house, so if we’re grilling, we are committed to grilling everything. We love a good grilled asparagus or zucchini alongside tilapia, as well as a fresh, light salad. Can tilapia be made ahead of time and reheated? Unfortunately, no. Fish is one of those things that needs to be made and consumed fresh. We would not recommend making ahead or reheating leftovers.
